Aqua art deco

Aqua art deco

I started making this pattern whilst visiting the wonderful island Zanzibar last summer. I was completely taken by all the wonderful things I saw and experienced during my 9 days there. On the first part of the trip we stayed at Mnana lodge (can highly recommend it) and I really got to relax and, of course, to paint.

This pattern has since then become one of my absolute favorites, and I wanted to place it where I can enjoy it everyday. So today I turned this organic cotton sateen version of it into a curtain separating the bedroom from the living room. But since I still think that it will become a dress someday I didn’t want to make holes in it so I used brass paperclips and nylon thread to hang it.  The brass complements the colors nicely if I may say so myself.

If you’re interested in making something with this pattern please visit aqua art deco on spoonflower and you will find that it comes in various textile types and enven wallpaper and gift wrapping paper.

If you’re more of a ready made person please visit aqua art deco on society 6 to discover all different products that comes in this pattern.

Hope you like it as much as I do.

All the best

Anna
